My son was in kindergarten this last year. I can't say enough about his experience. The classroom activities were developemental and age appropriate. There were many hands-on-activities that appealed to an active boy. His teacher and the aide were loving and kind. When he had trouble with phonics (because of his speech delay), he and the other children who were having trouble were tutored in the afternoon until they caught up. He ended the year reading and able to do addition and subtraction. The parent involvement is great. Not just for field trips but nearly every single day saw at least one parent volunteer. The kindergarten also has ongoing contact with residents of a local nursing home. They ate meals together and did crafts. A committment to our community and all of the residents is a goal of the teachers, administration and children. Great school!
