While the teachers try their best, this school is a madhouse. Students are allowed to bully and harass other students. My daughter came home with her scalp bleeding from having her hair pulled out during class but when we spoke to the teacher about it, we were told if he didn't see it happen, it didn't happen at all. I am so frustrated with this school that I could just scream but I have nowhere better to send my child because I can't afford to live in a better place than where we are and her assigned school is just as bad if not worse.

Over 90% of 8th graders passed the ISAT. This is a focused, high achieving school.

My name is Zachary Sigala, I attended this school in late 1999-2000 and I will say that during my stay there I had my fair share of problems, I know this can be a seterrant for parents but if there is anything I've learned from my past, it's that children need the arts, I know it's helped my greatly since that time, and I was just a disrespectful teenasger back then. I myself thought the teachers were marvelous, and I learned quite a bit from them all. Thank you Ellis Arts Academy, you've helped me reach my dreams, and become a writer!

I go to this school, and it is great! The teachers are very friendly, and the kids are very behaved.

My daughter attended Ellis last year for the first time she was very excited she had never been in a public school before she did very well as far as grades go. This year is a different story everything seemed uncontrolled at open house. The children seem to be out of control how matter how the teachers may try when the children (kindergarten) curse at adults while walking down the hall. Something needs to be done to disipline the children. Yes this happened to me just today. Yes this does start with the parents but why should the whole class be unable to learn all because some children are always being disruptive.
