If you expect your child to have a terrible teacher every other year this is the perfect school. Its very sad because of all the hard work the previous teacher put in to teach your child, for the next school year teacher to not teach anything at all. This has been my childs experience since kindergarten. Not to mention the super messy unorganized cluttered classrooms. Doesnt help much when the principal is never there! I have put in school transfers for 2 years with no luck but i will try again this year!!!

My son has attended Summerdale since kindergarten,b4 that my kid sister. My daughter has since joined the line of family attending Summerdale.I plan to send my last 3 here as well. The dedication I have experienced from the teachers is phenomenal! The reading program is excellent the RAH (reading @ home)really motivates the children to read. The personalization with everyone knowing who's mom I am upon entering the school makes me feel welcomed. My child matters enough for the staff to know him & I @ first glance...It's a really inviting feeling.I want to especially thank my sons 3rd grade teacher, Mrs.Ayers who will no be my daughter's 2nd grade teacher this year Mrs.Ayers is a very special lady and lucky me my family will spend another year with her. Not to mention Mr.Curtis the 'After School Program Director,' great program with reading encouragement as well all around great school!!!!
