My children attended Faith Tabernacle for 6 years. They are a small school and are affordable, yet the school does not go the extra mile to ensure that students excel. We were very happy with the staff of the younger grades, but then some major changes were taking place in Administration and the teacher turn over rate was tremendous. Most of the teachers are wonderful and caring, but not all have the patience you would expect them to have. Not a school for those seeking extra cirricular activities such as sports, also not a school for children with learning disabilities of any kind.
My daughter has been a student at this school for 5 years and has excelled. The small class sizes and individual attention have been a big factor in her progress. Faith Tabernacle is one of the most affordable private schools in Rockford. Due to their lower tuition charges, they are not always able to provide much in the way of extra-curricular activities. If your child is into sports or cheerleading, this is probably not the school for you, but if you are looking for a solid academic education in a structured, Christian nurturing atmosphere, this would be an excellent choice for you.
