This is a great school which my son attended for two yrs before we had to move out of state. The principal, office staff, and teachers all really care about the students and know them by name. They keep you up to date on all extra curricular activities available and there is a lot of parental involvement. Academically speaking, they are also top notch.
I feel my grandchild is getting an excellent school. And I'm very happy with the teaching staff and Principal.
This school was excellent. My son only attended for a few short months seeing as we had to move to Florida. They always kept you updated on all things going on. Friendly happy people. We would have loved to take the school with us! Mrs. Browning was a very caring principle & always took time out for any parent that was needing questions answered. Only way you can get into the school is through the main office! Which is nice for safety reasons.
My daughter is in 1st grade (for the 2nd time). I would have liked to know in kg. that she was so far behind in reading instead of pushing her through to 1st grade and having her struggle so hard last year. This year she has done very well and it was a great decision. I do wish the school wasn't so big (there are 8 1st grade teachers). That is my own personal feeling so I could know more of the kids in her grade instead of just her class. That is so far my only complaint. The school is always sending home papers to get the parents involved. The few times I have had to talk to the principal (Mrs. Browning) she has been great and helped me with any questions or concerns I have had. The school is also very clean and well maintained.
We have good things to say about our elementary school K-3. We have had good experiences from the teachers who have had our kindergartener and third grader. The school send home newsletters, important information and explanations on a regular basis so we always feel informed. Also, there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer in the classroom or during special events. All the children receive wonderful education in P.E., art, and music. Library and computer time is also incorporated into the curriculum. Test scores are 'up there', and my kids have always adjusted well and enjoyed school. I've been very impressed and extremely pleased with the education our children have and are getting.
I would like to say that RGS is a really great school overall. I love how the wings are seperated by grade and The quality of teaching is excellent. The teachers are Golden Apple recipients and you couldn't ask for a better setting for your child to start out in school.
