The school can not meet the extracurricular acitivies needs of the junior high. If I had known before, I would have change schools. The principal is friendly but so passive when it comes to a situation.
5 stars the public schools do not compare with the programs that St Andrews has for the kids.
My daughter attended this school and I was very disappointed. Tuition is too high, especially pre-school. Most of the teachers are great, there kind and understanding. I pull my daughter due to concerns with the academic level.
My two children have been attending St. Andrew for five years now and the school has exceeded my expectations. The teachers challenge my children and take their work very seriously. It's a very safe environment and it allows my children to be surrounded with other good kids. I want my kids prepared for high school and college. I wouldn't hesitate moving them to another school but SAS has earned every dollar of their tuition. I strongly recommend SAS to parents who take an active roll in the formation of their children and want to invest in their futre.
Since the last principal retired, it hasn't been the same. St. Andrew still maintains the qualities of a community, but they definately aren't as strong, and their education has greatly suffered. It may even be worse than public schools. Most parents are now taking their children out of St. Andrew, as they have been doing for the past few years. I really don't think it's worth all the money you pay to attend the school, and hopefully there will be some changes in the future.
I'm in 8th grade at St. Andrew and have been going there since 2nd grade. I thought some poeple would like to get a student's on the school. In some ways, SAS is a great school. Our principal is probably one of the best around. Not only does she know everyone's name, but their grades, personality, and who they are. You know everyone, and there's a sense of closeness and belonging you can't find just anywhere. There are some not-so-great things too. There aren't many extracirriculars, and one of our teachers is known for being a bit too strict. There's one of them in every school though, isn't there? But overall, SAS is a wonderful school. We attend mass every Wednesday, which is planned by a different class each week. The classes are small, and the teachers REALLY care, even after you graduate. SAS isn't just a school, it's a community.
