As a previous substitute teacher at Village, I was very impressed with the school and the way the staff cares about the children. I believe they are doing vert their best to instill good values and provide a quality education for these kids!

My three-year-old is part of the SEDOL program through this district and the Lake County Special Education program for Speech and Occupational Therapies. He is currently in class with several 3-5 year-olds, and I couldn't have asked for a better placement for him. This school has catered to his needs thus far, and he has really blossomed!! He loved both his teachers, Ms. Lichter and Ms. Tammie, and even though he sometimes has a hard time going into class at the start of the day, he quickly calms down and has fun throughout his time there. I have yet to put him on the bus (I think he's too young) but several of the other children take the bus, and the bus drivers seem safe and confident. I've recieved updates from the school, from the teachers, and from the PTO! I feel very informed!! Looking forward to a great year!

I think this is a good school and that the ratings are very accurate. I think there needs to be more supervision out on the playgrounds to be sure noone is getting hit or injured in anyway.

Been here for 5 years. Most teachers are great all are good. PTO is getting stronger. Needs new principal and better parent involvement. I am a parent of two children in this school and one in the EEC.

Village School has an excellent special education class. The teachers (for the most part) care about the kids they teach. I have had few bad experiences with some staff members, but overall, it is the better of all the schools in this district.
