My son attends this school and he loves it. All the students and teachers know him by name. Even though we are not Catholic, i believe attending church and learning about Catholism has benefitted him and at the same time teachers and other students are accepting of the fact that he is not Catholic. The school has excellent teachers and many extracurricular activities. Bullying is not acceptable and kids are taught to care and love one another. Diversity is celebrated and my son feels comfortable being him-- and not worried about doing what is the norm. They also have a before school daycare program that starts at 6am. If you check any other daycare in the area they start at 6:30am. They also have after school daycare program until 6pm. Teachers there are great, they make sure kids get their homework done before they go outside and play. I never have to worry about my son not finishing his homework by the time I pick him up.

Myself, my 5 brothers and my daughter attended St.Joseph School. It is one of the finest schools around and students are well rounded and sucessful both in academics, life, socially and spiritually and most go on to attend college.

St Joseph is more than a school, it is a family. The teachers and staff care for the kids as if they were their own. It's amazing how Ms Petkus the principal knows each and every student by name and NOT because a kid was in trouble. She really cares about the little persons that walk those halls. I also like the extra curricular activities that the school offers including art, computers and music and band.

St. Joseph's School not only provides an excellent education to make our children life-long learners, they also provide a secure family feeling that encourages our children to help each other.

My sister and I graduated from St Joes and set us on a path to successful careers. Now my son attends. Statistics and stack ranking prove the education he is currently receiving outshines many of schools in the area. There isn't a better choice.

I love St. Joseph, because of the great education it offers while teaching the students to care for others. The teachers are devoted, the parents involved and supportive, and the students are enthusiastic and hard working.

I am a Student from St Joseph School and I believe the School is amazing. The teachers teach as much as they could, and answer as many Questions as they could. Also they have an amazing veioty of extra-creacular activities, such as Band, Student Council, Sports like Basketball, Vollyball, Track, Cheerleading, also they have choir, and the choir does a musical every year. they also allow an child in the sports. Every year the school ecknowleges the 8th Grade by having an amazing luncheon for them in which the 7th grade serves them and the 8th grade parents. to me St Joseph Is an Amazing School To be at! =)

St. Joseph School, Round Lake is an extrodinary school. The school has an excellent teaching staff that gives 110% to the school and students. The school offers many great programs including music, art, flags, marching band, jazz band, sports (5th - 8th grade), student council, youth groups, altar serving opportunities, just to name a few. The school fosters a great family atmosphere of learning. The school offers many extra fun activities for students and families including fun fairs, a fall festival, dances, family masses at church, a show what you know fair (kinda like a science fair), just to name a few. The academic levels of the school are wonderful. Many of recent years high school validictorians from the local high schools have came from St. Joseph School that should say something about the education the children are receiving!!!

I am a student at Saint Josephs. I beilieve that this school is the best place to go to right now because we are the only ones with a band program in our district. We have many qualities that help us to learn as much as we can. Our teachers incourage us to be open with them and to help when needed. Our teachers push us when its needed and when they see us slacking they yell once in a while. We have volleyball, basketball, winter guard (available for grades 4-8) and we have band and choir. Band is for begginners and advanced. We go to church every Wednesday. Our band has gone to state two years in a row.

I used to have children at this school. They do not have enough desipline in the school. My daughter had trouble with some kids there and It was always going to be taken care of but it never was.My children do not attend this school for that reason. They are in a public school now and feel safer and are doing much better in thier academics.

This is a great school, they just started a new anti-bullying system. I have a 6th grade girl. She loves it so much that she wants to graduate the 8th grade there!

2 children. 1 just graduated 8th grade. Her teachers helped her to acheive her goals for graduation and helped her with study habits so that she was able to acheive a higher understanding the importance of trying your best. The other child is now in 1st grade. Her K teacher used the my childs abilities to assist other children who were having difficulites in areas.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
