I am new to the district. I have called repeatedly to get bus times and noone has an answer. They told me friday the 17 a bus driver would call. School starts tomorrow and I have still not recieved a call. Yet at pre-registration they said they want everyone to ride the bus the first day so the kids know whats going on. This district has not gained my trust.

I have two children currently enrolled at this school. My kids absolutely love this school and all the teachers. I love the size of classes, the individual one on one that students are able to get if need be. My son and daughter both have shown improvement in many fascist of their education.

Jamaica school is well below average as far as treating students equally. It is very obvious that there is favortism at this school. Bullying is also a big issue at Jamaica without much done to protect those being bullied. Catlin does not tolerate any form of bullying. The student is pulled from class and taken care of immediately - no so at Jamaica. The girls volleyball team is great this year but there doesn't appear to be support from the leaders at the games.

School does not embrace individualism and creative thought. Teachers seem preoccupied with molding children into paper dolls rather than focusing on self esteem and developmental differences.
