Somonauk Christian School is a gem! I discovered it two years ago when my daughter began pre-school, and am very eager for her to begin Kindergarten here next year. The teachers and staff are wonderful; they are well-educated and well-trained in teaching children academically and about Jesus Christ. Through our teaching at home, as well as at school, my children are learning to develop a relationship between themselves and a very loving Creator. In addition, SCS has also added Spanish and Compter classes for all its students. As a parent, I am glad to have my children learning these necessary skills in foreign language and computing without having to pay extra money for tutors or outside classes.

Somonauk Baptist School is a wonderful place to send your children. The quality of education the children receive is excellent. Phonics is taught in this school and the children begin reading in kindergarten. The school is small, therefore the teachers are able to give individual attention where needed. Music, art, and P.E. are included with your academics. The school is church supported and in the past the majority of students came from church families. Due to a generational shift in the church body, the school is currently rebuilding its student base with the majority of students coming from the surrounding communities. As well as being academically superior, SBS has taken home many awards in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and fine arts. The parents are very supportive of the school. The parent-teacher partnership has helped to make this 31+ year God-centered ministry a success.
