The teachers really care, I've seen a teacher give up half her lunch time everyday to make sure the kids finish their work and they stay late in the evening.

School District 150 has improved with extra activities outside of school for the kids. I appreciate those teachers who go above and beyond to make school memoriable for my children. That Talent Show was one my kids nor I will always remember. Hats off to the coordinator. Great Job!

The teachers at Greenwood do love what they do and if researched a bit better, the previous parent would have realized that many of the teachers do have their masters and many more are currently working toward them. I think also that parents need to realize that sometimes teachers are asked to do many things that are above and beyond their call of duty. They work very hard and sometimes feel that administration is not in their support. Did you also know that most teachers spend a large amount of their own money on classroom materials? Let's support our teachers and find ways to change these problems. Our teachers and students deserve the best!

Greenwood school is a great school, but like any school improvements are needed. Teachers need to love what they do and when that happens students excel. Most teachers at Greenwood have a BA, but we need more teachers to hold master degrees in education.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Illinois used the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and in grades 4 and 7 in science. The ISAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Illinois. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
