I have two children atending the school, both on different levels of learning. the oldest is in excelled classes and is very happy with almost all her teachers and level of education, which I agree with. The other is an average student who seems to have teachers that care very little with the honesty aspect when talking to parents, or just don't care. I have been told she is doing good but find out she is failing. Even have one teacher that has never responded to an email or phone call. Even the dean has not responded to me in the past week after 3 phone calls. Excelled and sports involved kids seem to get the attention. For the average and not so involved student, well I would suggest another school.

I attended LHS from 96 to 2000. The sports department is highly funded (there are 3 gyms, of course), but the arts and music departments are being cut tremendously. I graduated and attended college and felt myself grossly behind my fellow classmates. LHS does not prepare students for post-secondary education. In addition, the class selection is very limited compared to other schools in the area (even compared to other public schools). On the other hand, there are a handful of amazing teachers and the students are humble, wonderful people.
