After reading the review I found it necessary to reply. I am sorry that your child did not have a great experience but, Feitshans has changed a lot over the past couple of years. The teachers are caring, always willing to go the extra mile to help the students. I applaud the teachers and staff at Feitshans. The best part about working at Feitshans is getting to work with the students who really need the help. I do wish that we had less kids in a classroom to be able to better assist the students, but that takes money to pay another teacher.. Also, it would help to have more parents and community members volunteer to read with students.

This school is overwhelmed with students that are not be educated properly at home or at school. My second grader is not able to read or write at her grade level due to a teacher that just passed her through the class in first grade. I find that to be ridiculous. At home, is not enough to learn to read. Reading should be a priority for our children. At this time I feel that some of the issues the school has is that the teachers do not care about the students like they should. Also the school does not involve parents enough in school activities. This is as important to our children as any of their cirriculum.

I really love what this school is trying to do. It has computer class, spanish and band for 4th -6th. The discipline needs to be handled differently. I feel that the children that want to learn are unable to because of the behavorial problem.
