This school is obviously not the best of schools in america, but i can tell you that it has alot of love. Everyone in the school cares alot about others and even though we have almost 1200 kids, walking down the hall, it feels like you know everyone and everyone knows you. Everyone in this school is really accepting of others, although there is a high percentage of white students, other races are so easily accepted! The academics aren't the best, but if you try, you can go above and beyond. The teachers care so much and help so much with student life. There is a big focus on athletics for this school- we have almost every sport- except lacrosse! ): - and the coaches are super nice but also teach and discipline well. If sports aren't your thing, This school offers so many different clubs and extra cirriculars. If you like to sing and dance, our musicals and choirs are great! If you like to take photography and computers, the tech area is sooo cool! Everything about this school is absolutley amazing and its so gorgeous! its really old, but i love it, and i think anyone who goes here will love it too!
This school is awesome. The teachers care about you, though some more than others. They do what they can for safety, considering that we are on a 0 budget. Athletics are wonderful with awesome coaches. Acedemics are challenging, but rewarding if you do homework. I recommend this school to anyone.
My son attends this school and as a mom, I can say that I am very pleased with the safe and secure environment of SHS. Additionally I am a collegiate teacher who values education. Due to the advanced curriculum, and the number of Advanced Placement courses offered at SHS, I know my son is being prepared for college with a rigorous college-bound curriculum.
I have a son at Sterling Schools and I can not say enough great things about the educational, social, and athletic opportunites he has been offered. I have lived in four other school districts, and this is by far the best school my children have attended.
I am a student right now,a freshman, and I absolutly hate Sterling High School. There is so much going on that I can hardly keep on track with my acedemic values. I would much rather go to a small private school than go to S.H.S.. When I said there is so much going on I mean drama, fighting, clubs, athletics, and all the other things that come along with public schools plus much more at Sterling High School. Thank you, Girl who hates S.H.S.
nice school with great activities ,nice leadership and dedicated teachers.
I am a student of this school right now. though it has its problems, (like all schools) I personally think it is very good. There is a lot of help available in all areas for people who need it. There are a lot of caring teachers. and the administration really cares about the students. Its the perfect size and in a good town.
i am a former student of sterling high school and do not recomend this school for anyone. this school is not safe. there are lots of drugs that go in and out of this school. there are also a lot of fights that happn at this school. the teachers dont care about the students. there is only two teachers that i thought ever went out of his and her way to do anything for anyone. and that is choris director John Beaty and counsler Kathy Thome.
