I believe that the kindergarten and first grade are excellent. Reading is emphasized and the children seem to love their teachers. The school is small and in this small community many of the teachers and staff have students that are in their families. There is a climate of caring and the children are safe and care free. Unfortunately, due to the small size of the school district some amenities are not available. For example some of the books and materials may be older and field trips and technology may be limited. The PTO offers funds for enrichment and activites. The PTO is small but effective. Sports and gym, music, art are not daily but are successful. Stockton has success in team sports, track, and band music. No orchestra, swim team, tennis are available. As the grades go up, the lack of technology and funds for new materials is more evident.
