Caring teachers providing a quality education.

Posted January 16, 2008

St. Mary's in Sycamore is among the best school in the DeKalb/Sycamore area. As a former teacher myself, it was very important for my children to feel safe in their educational atmosphere, be challenged academically, and feel part of a community. St. Mary's school goes above and beyond my expectations for providing my child with a well-rounded, value-based education. Currently have 1 child at the school with 2 more entering in the years to come and I look forward to being a long-time supporter of this school

I have four children who have or are currently attended St. Mary's School. We have been very pleased with the professionalism and dedication the teachers and staff exhibit each and every day. They are very open to parental imput and look for every opportunity to help each individual child meet his or her potential. The Christian values are not only emphasized but they are exemplified in the way they live and work. It is a school where parents are encouraged to be involved and are considered key to the overall success of the school. St. Mary's school has been a wonderful experience for our family.

I cannot say enough about St. Mary's School. The teaching staff is exceptional and are truly dedicated to the students success. The school principal, Rosanne Feldman is a tremendous leader and devoted administrator. St. Mary's has proven itself with outstanding acedemic achievements on both the state and national levels. The parish community of St. Mary's shows outstanding support of the school, which helps to allow for a 'Fair Share' program torwards tuition. The public school system in Sycamore is good, but if you are looking for a faith based education for your children, this is the best choice.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
