We moved near Taylor Ridge specifically for the smaller school experience. And while much of that has been to our expectations, we have been very dissatisfied with the administrations response to our concerns for childrens safety and lack of handicap parking.

I so agree with your comment. I have a step-daughter who moved out there from the city schools & she was, and still is a wonderful smart young lady. She never once had any problems with learning nor did any of the teachers feel she was 'lost' in her school work or learning, but as soon as she started at Taylor Ridge my goodness they not only made us feel we didn't belong they made her feel that way. They wanted her in the special classes for learning disabilities. We couldn't understand it. We told the board how she never had problems before & we believe that this school was asking her to know things she has yet learned at the other school. And for that they feel the need to brand her with a learning disabilitie. Rather than getting her up to date on what they have already been tought.

Are you kidding me?! You must be a teacher or principal at Reynolds or you belong to the 'clique groupies' of the Rockridge school district. This school is so back-woods and behind the times that I feel as if my children have been forced back to teaching as it was 20 years ago before all of the current advances and understandings of how to teach had come through. We moved here to get out of the city schools and found out that this school system is so poor that they cannot afford to help children with learning disabilities. They stick 30+ students from all grades combined into one room called a 'Resource Room' and they pretend to teach them. The no bullying policy is not applied to children in the 'clique group' families. If your child is in the special needs group...beware and move on with your search.

Teachers go above and beyond what is expected of them. Safe and caring learning environment condusive to learning. Art and music is taught every week to help make students well rounded. Extracurricular activities include basketball, football, baseball, wrestling, and cheerleading camps for students to participate in.
