The school doesn't just 'enrich' students, it transforms them. When one graduates, it amazes them to see how far they've been and the things that they've gone through. The experience is memorable and overall, the school does a sublime job of preparing students for college and tending to every problem that may occur, no matter how big or how important. There is a real 'thirst for knowledge' in this school and many opportunities to allow students to do what fits them best.

Excellent fine arts program and parent support for same. Athletic events and boosters very active as well. Academic curriculum modeled after college classes in many cases. Only open since 1999.

This school has excellent fine arts programs. The academics are also exceptional. I have been very pleased with the school and I am proud of the students' accomplishments. I feel that the school prepares students well for college while providing great opportunities for extracurriculars. The school is also small enough for students to get the attention they need from teachers and for there to be room for students to shine. It's easier to be a leader when there are fewer students. Overall, a very good school.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Illinois used the Prairie State Achievement Examination (PSAE) to test students in grade 11 in reading, math and science. The PSAE is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Illinois. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
