All 4 of my kids have attended Washington Middle School, one with special needs, and I've been pleased beyond measure. A staff that cares and wants to be there, very strong arts and sports programs, and a commitment to education of ALL students makes this school a real gem in this community. WMS students enter the high school ready to meet or exceed requirements. The new building (6 years old) has provided more opportunity for faculty and students to excel with technology and safety. When we chose this district, we feel we chose well.

Incredible opportunities are available at all levels in academics, sports, and music! All three of my children attend Washington Middle School and love going to school every day. Teachers work hand in hand with parents and students to allow for greater academic success. Parents are encouraged to participate through both music and athletic boosters, as well as volunteering in whatever specialty they have. The children that attend WMS are a class act and have been told so by the many who witnessed them at the Girls State Basketball Tournament last year. Over 150 students rode the fan busses and all were on their best behavior (noticed by every official involved). One walk through our new school at WMS and you will see the difference. The facility, the staff, and the students...what an incredible place for my kids to be!
