I went to high school here many years ago. I don't know the current state of the school now and I think the scheduling may have changed some - but in general I really liked the scheduling system. I did not find it confusing. It was different from typical schools, but that is one thing that makes Gibault unique. Having free time throughout the day forces students to start to take more responsibility for how they spend their time, and reminds me more of what you would find at a college or university.

I attended Gibault for 4 years and loved it! The scheduling is awesome. They work on a block schedule which allows for a lot of free time and indendent study. Students who cannot keep their grades up are forced to spend their free time in supervised study hall, which motivates everyone to do their best.

This high school has too many problems with scheduling. This school operates on mod's which run from A to R and is 22 minutes long for each mod. Students are expected to fill in their request for classes and the school scheduler decides what courses are offered when. Students are often left with too many open mod's and time. Yet the parents continue to pay escalated tuition with minimal course offering. The school continues to cut teachers and administration due to declining students. Although mod's have been this scheduling for many years; parents need to look closer at how many mods in a day (18) and how many are left blank because of the scheduler and the administration unable to adjust and offer courses at various times throughout the day.
