The Waldorf approach is the best way to educating children, especially in today's turbulent times. My son is getting all the essentials of a basic education -- the three Rs -- plus more. Music, drama, painting, handwork, two foreign languages, and the ability to think creatively and solve problems. In a world that's changing ever so fast, these children will be the best equipped to deal with it calmly and strongly. Water's Edge is doing a wonderful job of preparing these children to solve tomorrow's crises.

Never have I seen a place where the teachers give so much of their own heart to the students as in a Waldorf school. If I could go back to school, this is where I want to go. At a Waldorf school the true nature of a child is nurtured and able to shine from preschool into 8th grade. One look at the preschool environment tells you how different the pace of life is here. For those who want to slow down today s childhood from our society's race to be too old/too aware/too sexy too soon, this is the place. Early grades are a time of wonder and blossoming understanding of the world and the upper grades give the gift of time and depth to really know one's subject, to learn it, know it and love it.

Our experience at this school was a nightmare even though we believe that Waldorf education can be wonderful for so many children. We found the teachers to be awful in the early childhood and in the grades. Finding good Waldorf teachers is very difficult for this school. The programs that they offer are minimal compared to others in the area and their tuition is high.

Waldorf education is the perfect style of schooling for my children! I love the curriculum, and I love the warm, friendly community I've found with our friends at Water's Edge School. This is where I wish I could have gone to school!

The school nurtures the whole child - mind, spirit, and body - not just the intellect. The school is keenly tuned to the developmental stages of the children and does not push them to master skills before they are developmentally ready.

Water's Edge School doesn't simply force information for the sake of memorizing and repeating. Instead, it promotes the development of the whole child by teaching hands-on, building a rounded education of real-world skills and understanding and innovation. My children are learning to think for themselves, to understand and be able to express what they are learning. I wish all children had the same opportunity. I wish all children could grow in a world populated by such thinkers...

Water s Edge is more than a school for my two children. It is a place where we have found a community of friends and teachers with whom we share a passion for academic excellence in an environment that preserves the children s innocence, accentuates their creativity and imagination, and inspires a profound reverence for human kind and nature. We embarked on this journey three years ago after informing ourselves about Waldorf education. We are confident that this unique and holistic educational approach is what our children need. I often think and have heard from other parents at Water s Edge how lucky our children are for being immersed in such a magical and unique program. Many have said that they wish they had had the opportunity to attend a Waldorf school. Everyday I witness how creative and imaginative my daughters have become. They often play and invent or retell stories and songs using simple objects (silks, rocks, wood, water, leaves and soil) both indoors as well as outdoors. We as parents are committed to help and guide our children to develop their full potential in life and face the world with an open mind and heart. This school and its community are without a doubt are best allies to achieve this priceless goal.
