Glenwood Elementary School

Glenwood has been a great experience for my son, who attended for 3 years! Many of the teachers and staff are very concerned about the students' well-being, academics, and behavior. A couple of the younger teachers (fresh out of college who may only be working there to fulfill their contract of teaching in an underserved community for a # of years in order to get their school loans paid off) are not that interested in nor concerned for the students. Coming across those teachers have been a nuisance! And the assistant principal jumps to a lot of conclusions FIRST before getting the WHOLE story when he has to report a discipline problem. And, especially if it involves a student of his own race, he almost always jumps to their defense first! Besides that, the new principal seems to have everything and everyone under control! She is a stickler for academics!

Most of the teachers at this school are passionate about educating the students. Above all the new Principal Ms. Eppinger and Asst. Pricipal Mr. Mesa are very passionate and that passion and zeal is seen through decision made for the betterment of all students. My oldest daughter attended this school for 6 years and received a great start to learning. As a parent we are our child's main teacher, when they attend school the teacher is there to enhance what we are already teaching them at home. So our daily involvement is of utmost importance. It truly makes a differance. So when you have a chance go to the school and help out in the classroom. Go see what your child is learning.
