This school is just fine. If your child just finishes their homework,listens in class, and is respectful to the teachers and staff they shouldn't have any trouble at all. This school is caring and wants you to succeed. The only thing is that the sports are not to great, but it's a small school. Education is more important anyway.

This has to be one of the worst administered schools in the state. There are fine teachers here, however the administration (principle AND superintendent) are both arrogant and disrespectful. Because of this administration the students are being left behind. The superintendent needs to go, and a fresh, more intelligent and experienced one in her place. The principle needs to look out for the faculty and not himself. And the school needs better programs that will NOT leave a child behind! The district administration is antiquated and needs a major overhaul!

Good parent/teacher communication and quality academic programs for the size of school. Slightly limited sports and arts programs but very successful programs such as FFA.

This school is in my opinion one of the schools in the state that need to be on the list of watch schools. There has been too many students that are 'left behind'. This district has a major need for an overhaul. All other immediate area schools have programs that are followed very closely to monitor each students performance. Counselers are utilized at the other area schools and that seems to help. Why does this school not utilize the program?

The ISAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Illinois. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

In 2013 the Illinois State Board of Education raised the performance expectations for the ISAT in reading and math. These expectations have been adjusted to better align with the Common Core State Standards, a multi-state initiative that established year-by-year guidelines outlining the grade-specific skills and content students need to stay on the path to college and career readiness. The higher expectations of the new standards will result in a downward shift of where students rank in meeting or exceeding standards.
