the schools really should't have to disipline your kids at school, disipline your kids to make it easier on the teachers. if we do that their excuses

stop letting the unions protect teachers who are just passing time and don't care if our kids learn or not. but we as parents need to help the schools

Is there any other place from which money for education can come? The deficit is too big to be covered by bake sales. Is restructuring so bad?

zzzz1z, I have to disagree. Most public school teachers work hard, have our kids' best interests at heart, and aren't making much money either.

The fight is over control and the union doesn't want to relinquish any, there is no give and take with the teachers union, it just takes.

Obviously salaries are only part of the problem however salaries and the benefit package are directly related to the monies available for retention.

Look beyond teachers' salaries: Parents need to find solutions that really work. Organize a petition drive, start a Facebook group, get active!
