Maybe the word forced to too harsh. The more the parent is involved in their childs school statistics show their child will perform better. It is too bad so many parets are "un-plugged" when it comes to voluteering at their childs school.

No parents should not be forced to volunteer. Some parents don't have the time but donate money. The also have to spend a lot of time with the kids on homework getting them to do it correctly and the importnace of following directions. Large family

NO, but with so much budget cuts schools should send out letter for parents to help out even if it means working in the school kitchen or working with a child. or cleaning rooms after school.

No. Because we have to support ourselves. Schools hardly had volunteers. What are teachers paid for? If they need volunteers let the teachers ask!

No, parents should be willing to help where they can and the school should be willing to help parents have opportunities to help. It's called Teamwork! :)

A parent should not be forced to volunteer at their childs/childrens school, BUT I feel that it is very important to show your student that you care about their education in the best way you can which is being involved!
