It is very important for parents to be involved in the students education. keep an open line of communication with the school & teachers. Get involved in the PTA. Make sure hw gets done & the kids have what they need to be successful in the classroom
You are the final say. Teachers act "en loca parentis" in the parents place when you are not there. But the more involved you are the better the more individualized is our child's education. he/she goes from being a member of a class to a person.
I am a mom to 5 children. I feel its the responsibility of the teachers to treach my children what they need to learn to get into college.It's my job to teach them the life skills to survive. I make sure they do HW and check on grades/conferences
I believe parents must incentivate the pleasure of learning in their children, offering discovery opportunities through reading, travelling, talking about their own experiences and providing all the necessary resources for a great learning experience
My child education is very important, involvement with our children education is needed. If a child is having problem with a particular subject, than can reinforce what they have already learned.
i totally agree with title1. at minimum, a parent MUST ensure that homework is complete and regularly interact w/ their children's teachers. if you are educated, then let teachers know how you feel about the curriculum!
It is the most important role! I am a student at Sequoyah High & honestly without my parents involvement in my schooling things might be different. It personally motivates me to do better!& being a parent its part of your responsibility in my opinion
It is the MOST important role when it comes to school. The first thing a parent needs to do is to get educated themselves. How would you know what is correct if you don't know yourself?
yes i belive so to you should help him or her with homework and make sure they study like with my daughter she needs help with her times facts and every night before she goes to bed i sit her down at the table and try to make her learn them
