Our PTO has a community bingo night in January. After a bingo the kids chant "one more, one more" & our caller keeps going adding more #'s & getting more bingos. The only prize for bingo is a small piece of candy. It is a hoot!

elias84,

PTA is a nationwide organization. PTO is the generic term. Like Q-Tip versus cotton swab. Some schools belong to the national organization and others are just local parent-teacher organizations that support their school.

you mean PTA (parent teacher association)here in New York,(northeastern)close to Nassau County. There is plenty of activity and voluntaring for PTA, but I think it is too much purchasing staff all the time.

My granddaughter is in Middle School, 7th grade. She is a special needs child, not physically, but mentality. She has HDHD an Bipolar. I am thinking about relocating to Davenport, FLA in the future. Had enough of bad schools in Baltimore
