It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.

It is a choice to participate in ANY fundraising. Many families do nothing but pay the tutition & send their child. The fact is MOST fundraisers are FREE & the church makes up the shortage of $2000k per child that's not covered by tutition.

It is good to give. It would also be nice if there was less fundraisers and more time aloud so that we could do more and not be overwhelmed though out the school year. a month notice would help too

Sometimes it's tough to balance the teaching of caring and compassion with nonstop barrages of pleas for fundraisers and charity events. Make them simple--and optional--to let families choose what they can participate in.
