We love Liberty! We are pleased to have our children in a Christian environment where we know their teachers care about their spiritual development, academic development, social development, and emotional development. What a blessing the faculty and staff are to our family!

Two of my children graduated from Liberty Christian School. Not only were they prepared well for college, but they graduated knowing what they believe, why they believe it, and how to articulate it. Liberty truly offers excellent, biblically-based instruction that is focused on absolute Truth. I am forever grateful for the outstanding foundation my children received at this school.

Liberty believes they have top notch education, but in fact they are really behind academically as oppose to public and charter schools. They are severely behind in math and science, and they do not participate in ISTEP's, likely because they may not perform well. Glad we left and now know our kids will be able to attend a solid college and will be well prepared. If your child exceeds academically, they need to be where science and math are at high level. Don't let the grading scale of 93-100 fool you...that's a cover up to make you feel better.

Liberty provides a great biblically based education and prepares my children for the next step in their educational process. I have one child that has graduated and two that are still attending and I wouldn't have them anywhere else. They love school and they love their teachers.

I have been a teacher at Liberty Christian School for several years now. From the moment I stepped foot in the building, I could tell there was something different (special) about it! Where else can you learn about God, grow in your relationship with him and get an excellent education?

I am a student at Liberty and have been since Pre-K and I can honestly say I have learned more at this school than most of my friends who attend public schools. I also learn about God everyday in Bible class. The teachers are actively involved in the school and are very willing to help every student in any way possible. The teachers are wonderful and are not afraid to teach but also have fun in the classroom. I hope to one day send my children to Liberty as well.

I have been at Liberty since 1st grade and I will graduate from Liberty in 2011. Liberty is a great school the teachers are always there for you and willing to help you with anything you do. We still have many oppertunities with being able to play sports, music and band. I would not leave Liberty for anything it is a great school and I love it.

I am a parent of a student. Liberty is he best school in the area bar none. Everything is taught from a Christian perspective, however, they are realistic with the students. Graduates do not leave the school sheltered. There scores are always the best in the area. They have a great Fine Arts and Athletic Program as well. Top notch!

Both of my children attended K-12 and graduated recently. LCS provided an excellent education in a spirit-filled environment. They were prepared for life intellectually and spiritually.

I am the parent of children who attended Liberty Christian all through school. I also currently teach there. The education they received was they best. But more importantly, the school helped them develop their Spiritual lives. They left Liberty not only academically prepared, but prepared for life.

I have one child attending this school and several of my friends send their children here. I have been very satisfied with my child's progress while attending here. They have a strong academic focus and teach Christian beliefs and values. The faculty are caring professionals committed to excellence and the staff are competent, pleasant and personable. For a smaller school they have a remarkable array of music, art, sports and extracurricular activities including an excellent after-school program. Liberty Christian School is very affordable compared to other private schools in the area. Communication between the teachers and parents is enhanced with weekly email bulletins and parents are encouraged to participate in many school activities. They have a new curriculum implemented this year that the teachers, I've heard, like very much. They teach kids from 3 years old all the way through high school, and I hope to keep her there till then.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Indiana used the End-of-Course (ECA) assessment to test students in middle and high school in Algebra I, Biology I, and English 10. The ECA is a criterion-referenced assessment developed specifically for students completing their instruction in Algebra I, Biology I, or English 10. The goal is for all students to score at the passing level on the test.

average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). The graphs below compare this school's results in each area to other schools in the city and state. Growth and college readiness ratings are coming soon, pending publication of 2012 data.
