This is a great place for kids to learn. My student loves school here. He is in accelerated classes and I see him challenged to the point of his abilities. His teachers are caring and communicate through e-mails, phone, and newsletters. The administration is very approachable and easy to talk to. I know they truly care about the kids in the school. Many programs are offered to the kids that include all kinds of sports but also academic teams, dances, after school no-charge tutoring, and school plays. The music department has a standout program but the academics are number one. This shows through the school's high state test scores. My son feels that discipline is strong and I am never scared to send my child to school. Great place for kids.

south dearborn middle school is getting to big, there are to many kids in each class. so kids who have a learning dissability dont get the attention they need, so they suggest special ed not every child needs special ed they just need a smaller class.

I love the new web page, it is more efficient. I see great potential with this school. The administration is doing what it can to meet the needs of the state and local families at the same time. In every school there are teachers who we wonder why they are even there. This school has a good mix of faculty. The individual student has to take responsibility for their own education and actions coming to this age. The South Dearborn Middle School is a good place to be, if you want to make it a good place to be. As far as the 'worldly' view of things, it is unfortunate that our our society in general is morally deteriorating, we cannot always control what we are exposed to, but we can control how we respond to it.

In my opinion, South Dearborn Middle School was the worst decision ever made by the school board. The kids are not ready to be mixed in at such a young age. As a former student, I was taught about a lot of things by other 'worldly' students that I shouldn't have heard until much later. While I was in school, displine was laughable at best. While some of the teachers cared, many barely learned your name. The only redeeming quality is the music department.

Top quality education. The teachers are great and make learning fun for the kids. The show choir program is one of the best in the region recently winning Grand Champion at the prestigous Ben Davis Invitational in Indianapolis. The sports programs are great. A real hometown atmosphere. I would highly recommend this school.
