I agree with many of the parents here concerning the principal at this school. He is a tyrant, disconnected and has no concerns about students or parents. This school does change it's rules as they go along. As well, I had to go to schoolboard meetings just to get accountability and answers. I found that there were cliques among teachers and teachers that bullied students at this school. One teacher was such a mean person that she would favor certain students over other students. Favoritism seems to run rampant. I had to on a number of occassions take phonecalls on behalf of other parents because I would voice my opinion and write letters to the local paper about the conditions at this school. Remarkable.

If you consider this school for your child, you will regret that decision. Some teachers are immature and the principal is a nutjob. Steer clear!

I wish I could transfer my children out of Bedford Middle School. The rules in the agenda are not clear. They are very vague on many issues. There have been situations with my own child in regards to safety. The teachers are all right but the higher ups don't have much to give. One principal should have retired years ago and the other one is on a major power trip.

I have had three children attend BMS. The curriculum has prepared them for high school and they have had no situations that threatened their safety. The rules are plainly stated in a daily planner that is given to the students at the beginning of the year.

The administration at BMS is a joke. The new principal has not concern for the students. He tends to make mountains out of mole hills. All they care about is the students scores on the ISTEP. The cheer squad is embarrassing. The rules at BMS are sporadic and applied only when the administration wishes to use them. No where can I find a complete set of all rules. They make them up as they go.

BJH is a deplorable school with a horrendous curriculum, and a lax and inept faculty that is often outwitted by its students. My two years at BJH can only be described as a living hell, suffered physically, emotionally, and academically.
