Don't take your special needs child to this school. The nurse is lazy and neglectful yet wants to blame the parents for her inadequicies. The prinicpal pretty much will call CPS with no proof in an attempt to defame character. Shameful!!!! Invesitgate this team of wonder dorks out thoroughly if you have a special needs child!!!!!

Beech Grove Middle School is an excellent school. I had a niece attend this school and I believe that she received a great education in preparation for high school. The leadership at this school is wonderful, the office staff friendly, and the teachers truly like kids and want to teach.

So far, I have had 2 children come through BGMS, (3 to follow) both have thrived with this awesome staff. Class sizes are small and with the Team Learning Concept, the children had done great. With Edline as a tool to assist both parents and students, if my child had a problem, the staff was more than willing to go the extra mile to give extra time to improve my child's understanding of the work. I appreciate the extra effort from the principal, deans, teachers and the supporting staff.

This school was an awesome school! I loved all the teachers and staff! The classes are very small and personal, it's a wonderful place to bring your kids!

About the tests

Above
average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). The graphs below compare this school's results in each area to other schools in the city and state. Growth and college readiness ratings are coming soon, pending publication of 2012 data.
