This school has come a long way on the road to improvement. In the years that my children have attended Butler I have been pleasantly surprised by the dedication of most of their teachers. Butler has a very hard working and caring administration who have worked to achieve good channels of communication with parents. There is a real sense of community in this small town setting, which is part of its appeal. However, I question whether or not the children are being prepared at the academic level required to really succeed on a university level. I would like to see a gifted and talented program. Also the grade level requirements from one year to the next seem to be all over the map, where is the consistency? I don't see a lot of improvement in the higher grade levels in the form playing catch up for a lacking curriculum.
