my son is still starting out here- but went to full day kindergarten last year. From what we've seen so far we love it- there are lots of activities, the school actively informs parents of local events and organizes school functions with the help of parents. The staff has been very supportive and helpful and my son comes home happy and despite a lack of drive to work on it at home managed to learn SO much in just one year I thought the school was adequately diverse considering the surrounding area- I would rather him be exposed to the children that live around him than for the school to bus kids in just to diversify the school- It sets the stage for peer relationships outside of school (for which as young kids- it is easiest if the peers live close to one another) The only complaint I have is that full day kindergarten costs $125 a month (half day is still free)- but this is a minor concern considering the benefits of the school as a whole and the fact that daycare as an alternative would have cost us much more.
North Madison has a wonderful staff, great students and an active PTO. It is a great school!
Great school, great teachers. Excellent environment.
Both of my grandchildren attend this wonderful elementary school. The teachers are open and very kind to these children always striving to be the best they can be, they are great examples of leadership for our children.I will continue to support this wonderful school and staff in any of their endeavors. Both of my children attend this school. I could not be an happier with their education and the administration.
i attended north madison for 6 years. All of the teachers are friendly and wii take time out of their busy days to help all students. For a elemantary school, It has great before and after school activities. The teachers also will stay after school just to help us with whatever!!!
I feel that this school is outstanding, my kids enjoy their teachers and are making lots of friends. I hope that individuals that are wondering if they should send their kids here do. The best way to find out if a school is good is to listen to your kids, and mine love this school, and what it has to offers. I feel blessed that my family has found a nice area to live in, and our children are in the Mooresville School District.
I find the teachers friendly, though they cater to some student and not others. I find that there is a lack of diversity, and also creative teaching methods. Children are allowed to sit by their friends only, and others are left out; instead of having children met and get to know others. I moved here because of what I heard about the schools, but now I would rather have sent my child to IPS school.
This is the first year that my son is in this school. He is in second grade. When it comes to my kids education I'm very stricked as I'm sure many parents are. I want a teacher that worries and cares for my son and what he learns. This school has great teachers and their curriculum is excellent. The have High expectations from all of the students and that is very important for me. I would recommend that if you are in this area to bring your kids to it.
Wonderful school! Everyone seems to be like a family. The children know all of the teachers and the teachers seem to know all of the children. Your child is not just a number there. Many resources available for all different educational levels and needs. Lots of pride shows in kids, parents and staff at this school.
