OLMC is very close minded from the teachers, administrators, parents, and kids. The bullying at this school is so extreme that I would not suggest anyone send their kids there. There education is good but their special education is lacking.

Posted June 8, 2012

To the parent who had a bad recommendation for OLMC-I cannot believe you were at the same school. The principal, teachers, administration, parents, and students are all very pleasant and wonderful. The students have gotten great comments regarding conduct from many coaaches and teachers. We love OLMC!

Overall, OLMC is a great school. Both the quality of their education and related activities are very high. My only, but significant, disappointment is the fact that they offer neither transportation (not a big deal) or after-school care (a very big deal). It is because of the latter that I am preparing to transfer my daughter to a public school offering after-school care.

I love my school. The Parish Bash is the only event teachers want to go to here. I cannot wait to see my students after summer break. Just remember to raise your hand in class or you will get an after school detention and 3 lunch detentions. Can't wait for school see you soon! :)

I thought they were very rude, arrogant and snobby. Very unwelcoming. I would not recommend.

Our family had the pleasure of attending Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. Our children all left academically prepared for their future. The greatest gift of all had to be the gift they received in their religious education. Each of our children graduated with high morals and values and we couldn't be more pleased. The staff cares about the children and the principal is a gem. The Parents are so involved and are welcomed into the school environment. Truley Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is a gift from God.

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). The graphs below compare this school's results in each area to other schools in the city and state. Growth and college readiness ratings are coming soon, pending publication of 2012 data.
