It is very chaotic. They have 3rd-6th in the middle school and 7th-12th at the high school. They just push kids through they do not seem to really care. I asked about help for my daughter they said yes we can do that and I called 3 different times and got no answer. They passed her anyway. It feels like everyone that is there is there just for a paycheck. There are very few teachers there that actually care. Knee other thing that just really gets to me they aren't allowed to bring homework home in some classes. Now I ask why? If a child is struggling then why shouldn't he/she be allowed to bring it home to go over? If you're interested in moving to Elwood I would make sure that your kids go to some other school. Rant over.
In dire need of restructuring. Students passing through this school are far below the state's average test scores and not prepared for high school. When they say 'no child left behind' they mean it. Students are sent on without the skills necessary to suceed in further education.
At this school, I felt really secure and safe in. The teachers helped the students with whatever they needed help in, as well has having some/most of the students work interactive with the subjects that they were taught. I recommend that this is one of the schools, that there are hardly any fights at. There are only probably two to four fights.
