I teach in a nearby school and Triton is about 1 year ahead of our school. My daughter, a fourth grader, has been treated with respect but expectations for doing her best in all areas. I am so proud of the education she has gotten from each teacher and the leadership of both principals.

Poor communication between teachers and parents and lack of focus on 'real' education. Too much time having to corral and control kids, not enough time teaching them. A little discipline would work there. To much drama in the school system as a whole, funds misappropriated in my opinion. Lack genuine interest that parents have and don't seem to appreciate any parental involvement, unless of course you are involved yet keep to yourself ???

Triton is one of the best small schools. It has bent over backwards to help my kids out and to teach my Ukrainian born children to have better speech. The teachers all seem friendly and most know my kids by name. This is the school system I hope that we can stay at for ALL of their school years.

I went to a larger school and my children have gotten the best education from Triton Elementary School. My last one is in third grade, and all three have excelled not only in grades and testing above the state average, but in social settings as well. The curriculum is well balanced, and all the teachers and staff truly care about each and every student at this school. I would not dream of my kids going to another school. The friends they have made will be ones of a lifetime, and the parental involvement is very welcome not only by the principal, but the teachers and staff as well.

Triton Elementary School is a provides a superior academic and humanities education for children kindergarten through fourth grade. Our daughter is currently a fourth grade student, and she has had excellent teachers each and every year. During first grade, she struggled at reading comprehension. Her first grade teacher encouraged her to work hard and keep trying, without a great deal of pressure. By the beginning of the second semester, she was reading beyond first grade. Now, she is a straight A student reading at a 9th grade level - with test scores above the state and national average. Although her father and I are greatly involved in her education and school work - we owe a substantial amount of her academic prowess to the education she receives at Triton Elementary School. Humanities are strongly supported and encouraged as well. Art and music are second to none.

My husband and I were both students at Triton Elementary. We have 5 children that have either gone through, or are still attending this school. I can't imagine sending my kids anywhere else. This is a school where we have complete confidence in the principal, the office staff, the cafeteria, teachers, bus drivers, etc. We feel safe from the minute they get on the bus in the morning until they return at night. This is an atmosphere where I know the 'lunch ladies' would reach in their own pocket to make sure no child went hungry and where I know the principal, secretaries, teachers and other staff would do the same! It is with great pride that I tell people where my children go to school!

I'm a former student and a soon-to-be parent of a student at Triton Elementary! I owe alot to Triton, this is a great school! I believe that the small town really helps with keeping everything friendly. When you go there for whatever reason they are always the nicest people and are really helpful! Thanks again! Next year my child will be starting there and I'm confident she's getting the best there is to offer!
