I have two children who are students at St. Therese School. As a parent, I can not be more pleased with the standard of expectation both academically and morally. Students find themselves in an environment that promotes scholarly curiosity while seeing Christian love in action by the teachers and staff. The principal is a fair and exceptional leader. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is seeking a Christian based school that successfully fosters academic achievement.
We have had two students at St. Therese. Last year our oldest graduated and is now going to Bishop Luers Catholic H.S.. We currently have a second grader at St. Therese. He and I both love his teacher and the school. I am very pleased with the Christian teaching and values emphasized in the classroom. I feel our children need this to survive in our world today. My son's teacher has a wonderful discipline policy that I now use at home. If they act up they are all very aware of the hand signal used by the teacher which means they have to write a page out of the dictionary. What a useful punishment. My son's teacher is also very loving as is the rest of the staff. My daughter is ahead academically at her high school which is known for it's high academic standards which I also credit St.Therese.
I'm currently an 8th grader, and I really like Saint Therese because it is a small school and everyone is very kind, helpful, and caring. The junior high teachers are wonderful and will help you until you understand the lessons, no matter how long it takes. I feel right at home at Saint Therese, and we're all like one big family. The ISTEP+ scores of the junior high are above the state average and over 98% of the junior high passes ISTEP+, and we have several higher-level classes. Extra curriculars are severely lacking, but we do have a talent show, spring play, children's choir, and a wide array of sports. My only criticism is that students do not have the oppurtunity for involvement, there is a lack of organization, and it is almost too faith-based, like we aren't allowed to have personal opinions and they are dictated by the Catholic Church.
