I think the teachers are amazing. i have a special needs student and they are so supportive of her and our family. However i do agree with the other parent about the trouble makers and i feel sometimes that for a middle school it has a huge criminal element to it. I don't know what the solution is, maybe more explusions?
This school has excellent teachers who care about your child. My son loves it there.
The academic teams and sport teams are great. But some of the scholars start to much trouble and distractions. The teachers have to spend more time punishing then teaching.
Lakeside is a wonderful school that is blessed with an amazing group of teachers. Mr. Mable has been successfull in balancing discipline and education. He makes it a safe atmosphere to learn in. The staff goes beyond what is expected from them and gives 110%. I have had two daughters attend and my son will be there in the fall. My experiences with Lakeside have been better than I expected. I give Lakeside an A+.
Lakeside is a great school. They teach a child everything they need to know in life, including disipline. The principal Mr. Mable is great and has helped many different ways at this school. The academics are great and my child has learned so much over her 3 years there. Hopefully Lakeside will continue what they got.
This school has been very supportive in all aspects. I have seen my child blossom under the encouragement of the wonderful staff. She has been influenced for the rest of her life by the teachers she has encountered. The band program is especially good. I have also been an active parent in this school and have seen many other families influenced in a positive way.
This school puts more effort into making kids fit a mold and discipline than it does academics. The one program for gifted kids is a joke (horizons) and the focus is on African American Clubs which white kids can't join. Very backwards in it's overall attitude towards kids. Not kid friendly unless you are raising young military kids who you want to obey instead of think.
