i did not have a good experience at this school at all. i was bullied, i was ignored. i was singled out all the time for being different. dd slips are not a punishment they are an embarrassment and crushed myself esteam. a math teacher called me stupid to my face for asking a question. a science teacher embarrassed me to the point of tears. the high school was a great relief for me.
I was just a seventh grade student and I had a great year. The teachers went far beyond what is ask of them to make our year very special. They were at the school early and left late when any of us need help. They taught us to be leaders and to think over others first. I loved Science and the way the teacher made us do the work and think outside the box. I will always remember my seventh grade experience, especially with Mr. Wertz and the frog. :)
I believe that Fremont Middle School is amazing. The ex-principal did a wonderful job. My children miss him a lot. We are very happy with how our children are treated and the education they are receiving at Fremont. And to the other person with the review it is principal not principle.
I have had a terrible experience with one child and disappointing experience with another in this school. If your child struggles, you will be the last to know. While there are a handful of teachers that will go the extra mile to help, most are not concerned until you call them looking for help. Twice, we have had to wait over a week to receive a call concerning and A/B student failing a class- and we are available 24/7! There was no solution offered from teacher but more work at home. Ex- principle gave us an ISTEP book to study at home! On top of the immense homework already. I am looking forward to new leadership, hoping that there will be some BIG changes. Middle school should not be something you hope you get through without 'issues' but that is how many feel in the community!
