This school is amazing! The Teachers, Staff, and Principal go above and beyond for their students. My 3 children have attended CPI and I cannot ask for a better educational experience for them.

Fantastic staff. Fantastic administration. Academics come at every level - my son came from a private school and was placed in the high abilitiy classes, yet he still learns things every day. As with every school some teachers are better than others, but every teacher we have had has been good - some have been great! The school is very accomodating to many issues that come up. The online grade books is *usually* updated promptly. Love the school corporation letting us pay for lunches online. CANNOT say enough good things about CPI.

Great school. My children love their school. Teachers are great. We are very happy with Clark Pleasant School Corp. . I have communicated with teachers and received feedback in a timely manner. I love that you can check their grades online, pay lunch online. You can monitor how your kids perform at school. Nothing but Great!!

We moved here 4 years ago hoping we were making the right school choice for our boys. We have been more than happy with Clark Pleasant School System!!! I have nothing but good things to say. I haven't encountered a bad teacher or staff memeber yet!! My oldest is a straight A student on the National Honor Society. My youngest is on the Honor Roll. The sports are also incredible here!!! GO WARRIORS!!!!!

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Indiana used the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) assessment to test students in grades 3 through 8 in English/language arts and math, grades 4 and 6 in science, and in grades 5 and 7 in social studies. The ISTEP+ is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Indiana. The goal is for all students to score at the passing level on the test.

average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). The graphs below compare this school's results in each area to other schools in the city and state. Growth and college readiness ratings are coming soon, pending publication of 2012 data.
