My daughter is a teacher at Lincoln. I know first hand how dedicated she is at her job. She works very hard to provide the best education possible for her first graders.
I have seen positive changes at this school, however there is much much room to improve staff wise here. It needs to be a 'do as I do' NOT 'do as I say'. There needs to be a positive enforcement. So, when you would like for a student to say please and thank you or not yell, then the teachers might practive what they preach. This shouldnt be an assembly line. Learning should be fun and enjoyable.
My daughter has been at Abraham Lincoln for the past two years (K-1st). We've been blessed with wonderful teachers both years. Her current teacher is amazing! I love her. She's so involved in the class and with the students. I think the principal and asst principal do fantastic jobs. The order of the school in my opinion is great. My daughter has advanced in math and reading and I believe the parent involvement is motivating. I have nothing negative to say about this school but I do agree with the other parent about lunch time - rush, rush!
My daughter has been at lincoln since kg she is in 5th now and for the most part enjoyed the school,I think the school needs to address the children more remember that children learn thru having FUN. The lunch time in my eyes is STRESSFUL no time to enjoy lunch,to much stress on the kids to HURRY, the younger teachers seem to be trying to bring more life in to the school that is a positive. There is alot of emotionally and handicaped children that need alot of time and patience which take alot of the time away from the learning experience. In my view if to do over I would have choose a private school.
This school is very transient & the poor kids don't get the teaching they deserve - it's mostly the parents' fault. The teachers do the best they can with what they are allowed to do (gov't wise) & principal wise!- she needs to be stricter.
