Raymond Park Middle School is a great school. The teachers want and expect students to perform well. They are responsive to questions and concerns. The principle and administration is dedicated and firm. My oldest is now in high school and performing extremely well. For the most part she felt very preprareed for high school. My second child is doing as well if not better than my first. She is pushed to excel and rises to the occasion. If you are an involved and supportive parent with children that know you expect them to do their best this is the school to choose. Discipline on the bus could be better but overall I think this school is above most especially for a middle school.
Raymond Park has a great teaching staff, they are very well qualified, and try to do everything in the best interest of the student. They have high standards, but it prepares you for high school. I can take AP classes (advanced placement), because RP taught me so much above the standards. I, as a former student, can say I would recommend this school for any parent worried about sending their 5th grader off to middle school. The school is very warm and welcoming.
Raymond Park Middle School is a fantastic place to be. The administrators are loving and passionate about providing both a fulfilling work and learning environment. With over 60% of the students at or below the poverty level, Raymond Park made AYP, for the year.
I am a parent and my children grades 6th and 8th attended Raymond Park Middle School. My daughter had continuos problems from the teachers and other students. My son who played sports did not have any issues and quite surprisingly was passing all of his classes with no problems unlike previous years. This somewhat concerned me as he often talked about not getting what he was doing and really never having homework. Needless to say I have taken my children out of the school and I as well as they are very happy to be in another school.
I go to Raymond Park now and I hate it. I would NEVER send my child here. It's ridiculous. The staff is cluless when it comes to talking and no talking. We get detentions for doing something we didn't do. Why, in the world, would someone want to go here.
I was a student at raymond park, and I loved it. The teachers really cared for what my goals were in life, plus they have a very good athletic and musical program, which is what I was into.
My daughter and I have lived all over due to military life. RP is wonderful, exciting, and caring. I wish we still had an art dept. The one flaw is getting to classes after gym.
i go to raymond park and i really dislike it. not just because of the dresscode but because of the rudness boys at my school say and do. people are always talking about sex and fighting i hate raymond park middle school
When we first started our children at RPMS, we were happy with this school. RPMS seemed to run a tight ship and the children were all very well behaved. It seemed as though the teachers were definitely in charge. However, after some time, we realized that it really is no different. There is a severe lack of supervision and teacher support. The discipline policy is not effective and some of those in administration really need to go. If you have a child that is perfect, with perfect grades, and a perfect attitude...send them there. If your child is a normal teenager, look for a different school.
I go there now, I'm not a big fan of the school dress code, but it does help. The teachers are great, and I'm currently in spanish, and I've really learned alot. My math grade is better then it's ever been. This is really just a good school.
Raymond Park has help my son and I. I love the dress code and the discipline has made my son settle down a lot. He is an honor roll student and in the past he was not. Warren Township has been a lot better for my children than IPS. My children the future and I must bring the best of them.
I completely agree with the parent who wrote about the school and its discipline policies. They are ridiculous. It does not matter how much you complain, they up hold the ridiculous discipline policies. The staff does not use common sense when disciplinary action needs to happen. I cannot wait until my child no longer have to attend this school!
Raymond Park is a terrible school. Not because of grades and test scores and thing like that but because of its principal and staff. The staff at Raymond Park are rude. They have lost two language classes and art. They waste money on useless things and have rules are ridiculous. I would never send my child to Raymond Park or any other school in Warren township.
