St. Mark is very good school because the teachers and principal are very welcome and helpful. Students are very religious and kind. If you want your children to go to Roncalli high school. You must let your children go to the catholic schools because all the students from Roncalli are from great schools. The students from St. Mark school are very brilliant, the are very good students!!
We chose St. Mark because of the small class size, the emphasis to a Christ centered education and their strong academics and spiritual growth. The staff spends many extra hours working individually with students and communicates well with parents. This is a great school if you want a school that you can be active in and be a part of your child's education.
We have sent four children through St. Mark, which spans the tenure of four principals. We have assessed the academics, athletics, and religious atmosphere with each one. We live closer to another parochial school, but have selected St. Mark over it, as well as others. Their success can be seen through the students as they EXCEL in Roncalli High School and Perry Township schools. St. Mark graduates have received accolades for perfect SAT scores, gold medals in performing arts, etc. St. Mark is an excellent choice for any family.
If you are looking for a faith based school with great support from our Principal, teachers and Pastor than please consider St. Mark Catholic School. We are an intimate school which offers so much individual attention to each student. This is our seventh year here with all 3 of our children attending. We are very happy!
I have been a proud parent for over 10 years at St. Mark. There have been challenges and obstacles over the years but the core mission has always remained the same. A small involved catholic community that meets the academic and spiritual needs of my children. My children have been very prepared as they entered high school. There are many extra activities available to expose students with regards to academics, sports and service. It is a very welcoming place; stop by for a visit and a tour. The staff will be very excited to share what they do with you.
I am pleased with the education that my children have received at St. Mark Catholic School over the years. The teachers have been very helpful when my children needed it. The small class size has been a blessing for my children.
School has made some changes this year with the new principal. Discipline issues are being addressed. Not impressed with new teachers who were hired this year. Hopefully at least one will not be asked to return. My child should not be told she will be scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush. Academics do seem to be weak here. No advanced classes offered nor challenges given to children who are ahead. Too many children needing extra assistance and should be attending Rise for some aide. St Mark is not helping them by letting them slide by. Nor is it helping the other children who have to hear a lesson taught 2-3x because one or two children still can't grasp the lesson. Athletic and sports are a mess. Especially the girls. Most girls have quit playing sports because of the disorganization with their teams.
This is a great school. Principal and teachers are caring and dedicated to their students. Wonderful communication from teachers to parents. Discipline is enforced. Truly a faith based education. Students respect the teachers and parent aides. Healthy lunch menu & variety to chose from. Numerous activities for children to participate in from K-8th grade. Family community.
St. Mark is a below average school that has poor qualitly in food, education, and uniforms. The students there are very disrespectful and aren't grateful.
It rocks the teachers and students are really nice if you go there i promis you wont be disapionted every kid who gose there will get a good education!
