Staff isn't consistent with following through on the rules written in the handbook. Staff is also friends with students Facebook some make inappropriate comments. This isn't allowed in a public school nor should be it alllowed in a private school.

At SCS we strive to provide each student with an academic experience that is superior to what is available in the public school system. We use the ABeka Christian school curriculum for the majority of our classroom education. Elementary students also receive weekly education in music, art, and computer skills. In addition, students begin foreign language skills development in third grade by studying Spanish. Students are able to receive the individual attention that they need due to our low student to teacher ratio of 12:1. Our teaching faculty is comprised of qualified, degreed teachers who have an average of 15 years of teaching experience. We also have tutoring and help classes available. In high school, we offer a diploma that is equivalent to the Indiana Core 40 as well as a college preparatory diploma with honors level classes. Over 90% of our high school graduates attend a college or a university. I hope that you will prayerfully consider the opportunities that SCS can provide for your children as it has and did for mine.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). Unfortunately, this school doesn't have sufficient data to generate an academic rating.

Climate ratings

Climate rating for this school is not yet available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
