now it great to hear from all the parents of kids who attended this school , but i must say as a student who now has his diploma i have accomplished many great things as a result of my time there. as a freshman i started out at lawrence north which sorry i loved the school for bad reasons and the school is not good for anything but sports. however needless to say i didnt last a year there and my sophmore year i again met the same people at irvington community high school drugs , fighting and misc. trouble. Hope Academy definatley shined that light i needed for success. the teachers are very calm and work more with students individually then just a class. I am happy to say i finished my junior year there and went on to graduate agains all odds and low credits. THIS SCHOOL IS PHENOMINAL!~!! -Bural Codozor

My daughter started attending Hope at the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year. It was a rocky start to say the least. This is not the typical school, not the typical students. We are talking about kids who are using drugs, alcohol and who have slipped through the cracks at other schools. They are held accountable , Counseled, guided, nurtured and given tools to live a better way. It took awhile for my daughter to acclimate. Her 1st report card was all F's, by the 4th gr. Period , there are no F's. B's, C's, 1 D and even an A. She is learning to communicate and do much better with her anger. If your teen is having issues with drugs and alcohol, I highly recommend this school . Just remember it will take time . I can't say enough about this school.
