After reading the reviews I wondered if it was the same school. The school has a new principal and many new teachers who do a great job. My child loves it there, sings in the choir, and her teachers all have impressive technology to use, and they do every day. I don't know when it was remodeled, but it was, and the paint is pretty and the floors shiny.

I do not like this school at all. the students are unruly and when incidents happen the teachers do not contact the parents. This is my children's first and last year going to this school. This school needs a major over haul.

My daughter attended this school last year and I was so unhappy with everything the school offered and the techer and the staff all together. She got paid little attention, the school was rude to me all the time and the dress code was not enforced until they made her take off her tights when she was wearing a skirt. I told them to not make her change until the contact me and after that everyday they complained about her uniform. DO NOT send your child here.

I think that if this school was to be remodeled that teachers, parents, and students will take more pride in the school and help it grow.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Indiana used the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) assessment to test students in grades 3 through 8 in English language arts and math, grades 4 and 6 in science, and in grades 5 and 7 in social studies. The ISTEP+ is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Indiana. The goal is for all students to score at the passing level on the test.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
