My son, Connor, attends Castleton United Methodist's CUMNs KIDS program, and I can't say enough positive things about the program. They encourage learning, reading and artistic expression, but enforce the rules and promote personal responsibility and discipline. Connor has blossomed while there and I have developed a great relationship with the teachers and staff. I love to volunteer there. They even allow parents to hang out and observe, or stay and read to the kids. They seem to care about him, and always know who I am when I call. They really do an excellent job and have contributed to the development of my son in a very positive way.

Crabapple Creek , my little sister went there and she would come home singing about the planets, continenets , colors, and numbers. They teach spanish and teach little childern how to behave. My little sister went to crabapple and became very mature, my parents were thinking of holding her back, but crabapple readyed her for kindergarden. The teachers are excentllent. I would strongly sugest checking it out.

Northeast Cooperative Preschool and Kindergarten (56th near Arlington). It has great teachers and very supportive families. It is parent-run so the fees are very low. I've had 2 children go through that school and had a wonderful experience. Parents are very involved in all aspects of the school including being in the classroom. Parents are expected to participate in the classroom from time-to-time so it probably wouldn't work for a family that has 2 parents who work weekday mornings.
