My 6 year old son is in K and recently asked me if he could go back to Sacred Heart next year. When I told him yes he was, he thanked me!

We were unsure until we took the orientation tour. It was halfway through the school year and we were looking at "K" next year. We fell in love with the school immediately and enrolled our son in preschhol within the week. The entire staff is wonderful. Our personal goals for him were met and surpassed in two months. Needless to say he is already enrolled for next year. Simply put this school teaches from the heart !!

My son got to Sacred Heart for preschool. He loves it. All he talks about is going to school there and hang out with his new friends. Mrs. Smith done so much with my son that you would know him from a year ago.

My son began preschool at Sacred Heart last year, and I've already been impressed with the environment there. His teachers and other staff have seemed caring, personally involved with each student, and academically excellent. The other parents seem positive, involved and inclusive to all. I hope that he can continue there for many years, and that my other children will be able to as well.

My kids love SHS! When I drop my kids off in the morning I don't worry about their safety. Not only are they receiving an excellent education but they are learning to care for themselves and others. It is a very family oriented environment and my kids are happy. Wonderful peace of mind for a mom!

My granddaughters go to SHS and there is the most caring staff there that I have ever seen. My husband and I both went to catholic elementary and high school but never experienced the personal care that my granddaughters recieve at SHS. The entire community of Sacred Heart is family.

The older children and younger children are paired up in a sort of buddy system. Because of this, the older children look out for the younger chilren. The previous review of Sacred Heart is 'like a family' is very accurate. I honesty feel like my children are safe and loved when I drop them off every morning. I also know they are getting a high quality education. What a peace of mind this gives a parent.

The staff and students at Sacred heart are top notch! I have a happy 7th grader who came from public school. It is a totally different atmosphere with students very loving and supportive of each other.

I love Sacred Heart School! My daughter is in the 5th grade and has been attending SHS since Pre-School. One thing I love about SHS is that every teacher, aid, lunchroom worker, secratary, and the principal know my daughter's name. This school is Pre-K- 8 and most of the students know each other too. It feels like family. I can't say enough about the dedication of the teachers and other staff to Catholic Education and teaching core values. My daughter has made friendships that will last a lifetime from being in the same class with the same students every year. SHS really takes an interest in your individual child and the staff gets to know your child. If you are deciding on a Catholic school for your children, you will be thrilled with SHS.

I am glad that my children get to go to Sacred Heart. I went there as child and I am glad that my children get the same opportunity. My children feel safe and loved. Both are making friendships to last a life time. they are being taught great acedemic skills and social skills. Both have a great self esteem.

Above
average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). The graphs below compare this school's results in each area to other schools in the city and state. Growth and college readiness ratings are coming soon, pending publication of 2012 data.
