I love this school and I couldn't be happier with this school it awesome all the teachers I know are great and wonderful now the office staff do have an attitude sometimes but other than that it is a great school!

It is awesome but my son is getting picked on and I have to call the principal to do something because his 1st grade teacher won't do anything about it!

The only complaint I have with Bridgepoint is their office staff. Voelker and Pavey aren't friendly and need to work on their people skills, especially if their chosen profession is to work in an environment surrounded by children. The eye-rolling and demeaning personalities are a disgrace. Other than that, the school is wonderful!!! The teachers are amazing!!!

This is our third year in Bridgepoint. I currently have two kids enrolled and my third will start this fall. (my fourth will start in two more years!) We have had wonderful teachers, wonderful experiences, and I feel my children are getting a great education! I am amazed at what they are learning. I am sure I didn't learn this stuff until much older! But the teachers are patient, are not pushy, and are never cruel or belittling to my children. I have attended class events and field trips and witnessed interactions with other students firsthand. Never once have I seen anything that made me feel concerned about my children attending this school. The teachers work well with the students even when problems arise. Once upon a time I heard nothing but bad things about the old principle, a man, I do not remember his name. He left the year before we started, and I feel the current principle, Mrs. Obrien as well as the previous one, Mrs. Igleheart, have made amazing changes in the school. Morale is good, the teachers are motivated, and the students are learning. What more could you ask for!?

The office staff at this school really needs work. Debbie Pavey works in the school's office, She is an extremely angry woman who really does not communicate well with parents. I am hoping the school has a better group of office staff, because you can have a very good school with good teachers...but the office staff can have a large reflection upon the school and tarnish its image.

I believe that Bridgepoint does an excellant job of reaching the parents of their pupils. They are fair in their treatment of all of the students and do a wonderful job of encouraging the students to do better.

We are new to Bridgepoint this year. My child is in Mrs. Zielberg's third grade class. I couldn't have hand picked a better teacher. I have spent some time at the school, I can't say that I care for the behavior of some other staff members. There's always a few bad apples in every barrel. There seems to be a major lack of funds being put into Bridgepoint. I think that given what they have to work with, the majority of the staff do a great job. The Principal, Mr. Whittaker seems to be very caring toward the school, students, student families, staff, and the success of Bridgepoint and everyone there. My child is learning and is happy at Bridgepoint.

Apperantly since principal graves has retired, the quality of authority leadership has diclined at Bridgepointe elementary. As I have walked down the halls of this school, I have noticed the postings of rules & polices pertaining to 'bullies'. My child has recently stood up against a 'bully' after attempts to deal with them through authority figures and was punished himself. principal Whittaker seems to be well educated himself, however severly lack the social skills with the children that principal Graves instilled with the parents. I personally can't wait to take my children as well as my tax money back to a school with leadership equivelant to that of principal graves; east Washington School district in Pekin Indiana.

My daughter has attended Bridgepoint for 1st and 2nd grade. She is a severe ADHD on meds and the teachers, principaland all staff have worked wonderfully w/her. She has had perfect attendance and she continues to shine w/the rest of the class. I could not have asked for a better school! Nothing could compare. LaDonna Sturgeon

My son has gone to Bridgepoint Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. My daughter starts Kinder. this year. I am very pleased with all the help I have had in working with my son who has been diagnosed with ADD. With the help of the principal, teachers, and special ed. teacher, I have been able to keep my son off of medication and help him to progress in spite of his difficulties. The teachers have worked very hard working with me to keep my son up to speed with the other children. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
